　　 It was learned from the 2016 Provincial Energy Development Work Conference that Sichuan Province plans to add 1.9 million kilowatts of hydropower installed capacity this year, and the province’s hydropower installed capacity will reach 69.5 million kilowatts by the end of the year. It will continue to maintain the country's first hydropower installed capacity. At the same time, it will also accelerate the development of wind power, photovoltaics, geothermal energy, biomass energy, natural gas, etc., and build a clean and low-carbon energy supply system.

　　Scientific and orderly development of hydropower. Accelerate the construction of six major hydropower projects in Wudongde, Lianghekou, and Shuangjiangkou; realize the commissioning of the Dadu River Houziyan Hydropower Station; strive for the approval and construction of 9 hydropower projects such as Baihetan and Dadu River Hard Liangbao.

　　 Appropriate development of wind power and photovoltaic power generation. It is estimated that the province’s installed wind power capacity will reach 2 million kilowatts and grid-connected photovoltaic power will reach 1 million kilowatts this year.

　　 Promote the development of geothermal energy and biomass energy. Promote the development of shallow geothermal energy in the Chengdu Plain and the mountainous area around the basin, and promote the development of medium and high temperature geothermal energy in the Panxi area. In 2016, we will strive to build two biomass power generation projects, with an installed capacity of 60,000 kilowatts.

　　 Coordinate the exploration and development of conventional natural gas and shale gas. Focus on speeding up the exploration and development of shale gas in the Longwangmiao-Gaoshi terraced gas field in central Sichuan, the high-sulfur gas field in northeastern Sichuan, the Pengzhou gas field in western Sichuan, and the Changning-Weiyuan, Fushun-Yongchuan and Zhaotong blocks (part of the province) shale gas exploration and development, and strive to achieve The output of natural gas is 28 billion cubic meters.

　　 Promote green coal development. In the next three years, we will stop planning to build new coal mines, earnestly implement coal access standards, strictly forbid new outdated production capacity, and eliminate and close a number of outdated small coal mines.
